“In 2019 I was contacted by the management team at Hartway Galvanizers regarding some assistance upgrading their ISO certification from AS4801:2001 to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems. I met with the team and mapped out a plan of how we could achieve this process. The system we established was heavily focused on managing risk within the business, not only from an OH&S perspective, but also considering quality, environmental and general business risk. The system they had I place when I arrived had some great aspects to it, but it needed a fresh tidy up and new perspective focusing on outcomes, as opposed to paperwork. The management team at Hartways was a joy to work with, and the new systems we developed not only passed their upgrade audit, but it really boosted the company’s culture and processes to a whole new level. They now hold full tri-certification to ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management systems and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems, and we continue to assist them by conducting quarterly visits to help with their internal audits, management review and other value adding activities.”
